Getting Started

Your First
Scribe

Step-by-step guide to recording your first patient encounter, saving drafts, and generating polished clinical notes with Scribeberry.

Quick Start

Go to app.scribeberry.com. Click New Scribe → Record. When done, hit Generate and watch your note build itself.

Prep Before You Hit Record

Confirm your mic is working by allowing permissions (only required the first time). Choose in-person or virtual visit—virtual visits let you select a separate tab or window for Google Meet, Teams, Zoom, Doxy, etc. Choose a note template (SOAP, Referral, etc.)—Scribeberry remembers the last one you used and you can select more than one.

If pre-charting, include any medical context relevant to the encounter (labs, referrals, etc.). Make sure you have patient consent before recording.

Start the Visit

Hit Record. The transcript appears in real time so you can monitor key points without typing. Add extra context (e.g., “Hx of asthma, needs work note”) in the medical context box before, during, or after recording. You can also attach files (PDF, Word, images, audio) to use as context.

Drafts & Pre-Charting

Autosave captures everything, so you can pause at any point and move onto a different patient. Drafts stay in your Scribe list (labelled as “Draft”), letting you juggle multiple patient encounters seamlessly across multiple devices.

Pro tip: some providers pre-chart the day before by adding relevant context to a new scribe and saving it as a draft.

Finish & Generate Your Note

Click Generate once you’re finished. Scribeberry structures the note under your chosen template(s). Review and edit for accuracy, then push or copy to your EMR (Accuro, Epic, Oscar Pro, etc.). Attach files or dictate addenda if needed. Use the Talk Back bar at the bottom as your AI assistant—you can chain notes, look up resources and guidelines, or request patient handouts.

Pro Tips

Use existing templates or create your own customized note styles. Save time on common phrases and billing codes with macros (spoken or written triggers). Scribeberry can transcribe 40+ languages. Use Past Week / Month filters to find old scribes instantly. Use Talk Back to generate patient handouts in any language.

Stop Charting. Start Living.
