EMR integration
OSCAR Pro AI Scribe
OSCAR Pro is where your clinic already charts. Scribeberry connects through the Scribeberry Chrome extension running beside the web EMR, so the reviewed note lands in the chart instead of a clipboard. No EMR change, no integration fee.

What the OSCAR Pro connection actually does
The aim is for the visit to become a chart note without a second typing shift. In OSCAR Pro, Scribeberry connects through the Scribeberry Chrome extension running beside the web EMR.
OSCAR Pro is the hosted OSCAR platform used by many Ontario and BC clinics. Most OSCAR clinics want one thing: the visit drafted into the encounter without retyping it.
Scribeberry records or accepts dictation of the encounter (with patient consent), drafts a structured note in your template, and you review and edit it before anything goes into the chart. The clinician signs the note, the AI drafts it.
How it connects
Scribeberry + OSCAR Pro: connection, reads and writes
| Connection | What Scribeberry reads | What it writes back |
|---|---|---|
| Chrome extension (Smart Pull / Smart Push) | Allergies, medications and vitals from the open chart (Smart Pull); Past encounters, so the draft carries continuity | Structured note sections into the encounter fields you choose (Smart Push) |
Limits that matter
The OSCAR Pro extension is in beta and needs a compatible web deployment of OSCAR Pro. Field mapping can vary by clinic configuration, so run a test encounter and check each mapped field before relying on it.
Set it up
- Start a Scribeberry trial and install the app or extension for your workstation.
- Follow the OSCAR Pro setup path in the tutorial linked below, then connect a test chart.
- Run one sample encounter, review the draft, and check every mapped field before using it with patients.
- Confirm patient-consent wording for your province or state before the first recorded visit.

Frequently asked questions
Does Scribeberry work with OSCAR Pro?
Yes. Scribeberry connects to OSCAR Pro through chrome extension (Smart Pull / Smart Push). It reads allergies, medications and vitals from the open chart (Smart Pull) and writes structured note sections into the encounter fields you choose (Smart Push). Setup steps are in the tutorial linked on this page.
Is there an extra fee for the OSCAR Pro connection?
No. EMR connections are included in Scribeberry plans (Pro $99/month per provider). You keep paying your EMR vendor directly.
Is OSCAR Pro the same as Juno EMR?
No. OSCAR Pro and Juno EMR are different OSCAR-based products with different hosting and interfaces. Scribeberry supports both through the Chrome extension; the Juno page covers that workflow separately.
Is my patient data used to train AI models?
No. Scribeberry does not train models on patient data. Canadian customer data is stored in Canada and encrypted in transit and at rest, see the security page for the published compliance documents and Trust Center reports.
