How to Create Custom Templates
Open the Template menu from the left sidebar. Click New Template to launch the builder. Choose Autofill (AI-assisted)—upload a sample note and Scribeberry extracts headings, note type, and style—or Build Manually field-by-field. Name your template clearly (e.g., “My Custom SOAP Note”) and pick a note type.
Add headings (Subjective, Objective, Assessment, Plan), drag to reorder, then insert additional instructions (e.g., “End note with follow-up in 2 weeks”). Embed macros like /Physical Exam for rapid expansion. Preview to see live placeholders, then Save. Set as default or upload to the Template Hub to share.
Best Practices
Start small: build a simple template, then add detailed instructions. Clone and branch: duplicate templates for variant note styles (e.g., Psychiatry Initial vs. Follow-up). Refine AI output by tweaking instructions when they’re initially missed. Avoid repeating the same instruction—it can create confusion and inconsistent results.
Why Build Your Own Templates?
Consistency & Quality—guarantee every note follows your preferred headings, wording, and regulatory boiler-plate. Speed—pre-formatted sections mean fewer edits after generation. Multi-Specialty Flexibility—switch between SOAP, referral, operative, or rehab templates with one click. Team-Wide Standards—share templates across Groups so every provider documents the same way.
